The Butter Standard

beurre-d-isigny-postersComing home tonight I started to think more about this blog and what we wanted to do with it.  One of the things we are going to try and do is to rate things that we eat, cook, see, taste, smell and drink.  Now I realize that a Michelin Star or two or three is pretty cool, but since “stars” were already taken we are going to go with “sticks of butter.”  It’s what we’ll call “The Butter Standard.”  Four sticks – or in our case, four nice large pieces, will equal buttery perfection.   Now we are not going to fall to bribes or intimidation, but Kate’s of Maine is our domestic favorite and Beurre d’Isigny, from the region of Normandie, France rates right up there at the top.

So we are all clear when it comes to this I’m going to include a three and a half butter stick rating here for you all to see …
